Big Girl Bed

Big things have been happening over here. In the past week or two we have:

1. Started the R.E.A.R Bet,
2. Had Abby spend the night (last night) while her baby brother was born!!!,
3. Found out that we are having a little boy and started setting up his room, and
4. Moved Gracie into her "big girl bed."

Steve and I picked it out for her at our post-gender-ultrasound Ikea trip last week (we tend to go nesting crazy when I am pregnant) and Steve painted it and put it together for her. She was pretty excited to see Daddy building her a bed, and even more excited when we put it up for her last week.

Her usual posse of Moose, Bayh (her bear), Giraffe, and Officer Bear (a little bear wearing camo Steve got her from COT) moved to her big girl bed with her, and she has been amazingly good at staying in. She never gets out once we put her in at night, and has only sneaked out for toy-retrieval during naps twice in the past week. She also usually stays in bed or in her room in the morning (even though the door isn't shut all the way) until we get her up. She is SUPER excited about having a pillow of her own with a fancy heart on it.

We're still getting the rest of her room (and the house) in full moved-in order (we just realized that even though we've rented here for 3 months, we've only all been home for about a month of it) and working on getting pictures framed and up and etc. Gracie's room is feeling pretty happy with that big bed in it, though.

Oh, and she showed us she knows what to do in bed, too. Check out the fake snore going on. :)
