Gracie at 19 Months

I am just crazy about this girl. She changes so much every day, and is such a sweetheart (and goofball). So here are the things I want to remember about our lovely sweet Miss Gracie at nineteen months:

Helping is one of her favorite things; she loves to be like Mommy and Daddy. She wants to sweep with the broom, wipe windows, watch the bubbles fill up the washing machine. She beams with pride when she puts something away correctly or gets to throw away a piece of trash.

Playtime is expanding into more imaginative play. She will now put her Little People in their beds and tell them night-night, or climb on her car and tell me she is going to school (like Daddy), or toss a purse over her arm and a necklace around her neck.

Music time at the Rowans' house has really kicked her love of music and dance into high gear. Her favorite songs are the "Body Song" (from the Rowans'... not sure where it came from),  the "Baby Song" (Don't Worry Baby by the Beach Boys--she thinks it is about babies), the "Ernie Song" (One Fine Face from Sesame Street), the "Telly Song" (Heavy and Light from Sesame Street), and the "Daddy Song" (I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home from primary). She requests all of these frequently, but when we sing the "Baby Song" she really only wants to hear the lines "Don't worry baby, everything will be alright" over and over. She starts saying "No! No!" when we sing any part from the rest of the song.

Vocabulary. Well.
