Things They Say: Three Thoughts from Charlie

None of Your Beeswax

Charlie went to a Moravian Candle Tea with his preschool last week. He came home with his very own candle, and enlightened me on the utility of the beeswax from which it was made.

Charlie: Beeswax can make anything. Cars. Trees. Except houses... But... towers!


November Allergies

Charlie: I’m allergic to beaws.
Me: Bears?
Charlie: No BEAWS.
Me: Berries…?
Charlie: No BEAWS. That go UNDER your nose.
Me: Oh beards?
Charlie: Yeah BEARDS. I’m allergic to beards.


Skilled Baked Goods

At lunchtime after preschool the other day, Charlie noticed a picture of a gingerbread cookie.

Charlie (matter-of-factly): That's a gingerbread man. Gingerbread mans can run as fast as real people.
